The Ringing Hand
In the heart of the the Terrace of the Hand That Crafts, in the district of the Kingdoms, The Ringing Hand is a renowned restaurant, a legend of the terrace, a true flagship of the craftsmanship and creativity that are the pride of this district.
The Ringing Hand is an imposing building, constructed of cut stone, with a large wrought iron sign depicting a hand holding a bell. Two large doors carved from solid wood open onto an interior that is both elegant and welcoming. The walls are decorated with tools reminiscent of the work of the district's artisans. The tables are made of raw wood, and the chairs are comfortably upholstered in leather.
The atmosphere inside is lively, yet remains subdued, as befits a high-level establishment. While conversations flow freely around the fine and appetizing dishes, no one really raises their voice. The dining staff is unfailingly efficient and polite, even when a customer has overindulged in alcoholic beverages…
The Ringing Hand offers refined and flavorful cuisine, prepared by top-level chefs. The dishes are crafted from local products, and the menu changes regularly with the seasons. One of the most famous dishes is the ookhab steak, prepared and spiced in various ways. A delight that certainly warrants avoiding a live ookhab for at least four days after the meal in question (the restaurant, in fact, has interested clients sign a waiver, which they eagerly do). The restaurant is also renowned for its wine list, offering a varied selection of regional vintages. Naturally, the prices match the quality of the cuisine!
The owner of the restaurant, a tall and solidly built man with a silhouette barely marked by a slight stoutness, is himself one of the most talented chefs. While keeping a watchful eye on his team, he willingly comes to the dining area to chat with customers and gladly accepts feedback. Everyone knows how to call him: the Ringer. But no one knows his real name, and, of course, every regular customer has their own theory about it – the most widespread being that the Ringer was born and lived for a long time in the the Terrace of the Punishment…
The quality of the restaurant The Ringing Hand perfectly reflects the spirit of The Hand That Crafts. However, while it is a place of meeting and conviviality, it should be remembered that its patronage is reserved for those who can afford (or be treated to…) a meal of this quality.
