Warehouses
Nestled in the heart of The Lakepoint, in The Lakeshoe, the Warehouses of the Porters-Freighters Company are a true hub of economic activity in Laelith. These imposing buildings, with their rough stone walls and red tile roofs, extend over several hundred square meters, forming a labyrinth of rooms and corridors where mountains of goods are piled up.
The activity there is incessant. The porters, recognizable by their broad shoulders and sturdy work clothes, are constantly busy, transporting crates, bags, and parcels from one end of the Warehouses to the other. The noise of carts and footsteps resonates in the air, mixed with the shouts of foremen and the creaking of massive doors.
Each room in the Warehouses has its own function. Some are dedicated to the storage of foodstuffs, others to textiles, art objects, or construction materials. There is even a room reserved for valuable items, guarded day and night by armed men.
The Warehouses are a must-visit place for merchants who wish to sell or buy goods in Laelith. They are also the starting point for many convoys that depart for the other terraces of the city. Despite the hustle and bustle and apparent disorder, everything is perfectly organized, each item having its designated place.
In short, the Warehouses of The Lakepoint are the economic lung of The Lakeshoe, a place of life and labor where noise and dust are the price to pay for the prosperity of Laelith.
