Cerberus Bank
In the heart of the Skull district, in The Lakeshoe, stands the Cerberus Bank, a commercial exception in a neighborhood devoid of shops. This massive building, with its dark stone walls, is as austere as the Temple that gives it its name. The facade of the bank is adorned with an imposing sculpture representing a three-headed Cerberus, the mythical guardian of the underworld, symbolizing the infallible protection of the assets entrusted to the institution.
The Cerberus Bank is renowned for its discretion and security. It offers a complete range of financial services, from depositing valuables to currency exchange and lending. It attracts a diverse clientele, from sailors on stopover looking to secure their earnings to passing merchants eager to exchange their foreign currencies.
The interior of the bank is as dark as the exterior, with high vaulted ceilings and bare stone walls. Torches with bluish flames dimly light the space, adding to the austere atmosphere. Behind wrought iron grilles, employees dressed in black work in an almost religious silence.
Despite its location in the poorest and dirtiest district of Laelith, the Cerberus Bank is a symbol of stability and trust. It is proof that even in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods, solid and respected institutions can thrive.
