Located in the bustling neighborhood of The White Shoe, the Quicksilver Guardhouse is an imposing building that overlooks White Gate Street. It is the main guard post of The Terrace of the Mist, responsible for maintaining order and security in this part of the city.

The ground floor of the guardhouse houses a reception room where an Ogul and two guards stand ready to assist the residents. There is also a Duty Room, where conscientious taxpayers come to pay their taxes, and which, when the collector is not present, serves as an interrogation room.

In the tower of the guardhouse, accessible only to the guards, is the guard room, where the men rest and have their meals between patrols. This strategic location allows for monitoring of the cell area and provides quick access to the actual guard post.

On the first floor, there is a infirmary for minor injuries, as well as a “luxury” cell reserved for high-profile prisoners or individuals whose identity is uncertain but who appear to have a high social standing. The office of the Rahel, the Chief of the guardhouse, is also located on this floor.

The guardhouse also has a Hutch for harmless prisoners, two individual cells for dangerous captives, and a well-equipped Armory. A provisions room ensures that the guards are provided for for a week in case of any issues.
