The most famous of all of Murky Town taverns! People even come here from other terraces to slum and taste the incomparable house beer with a jealously guarded recipe. Archibald, the innkeeper, is a red-haired colossus with an indefinable accent. He is probably a former adventurer, because he always takes a keen interest in the extraordinary stories that can be brought to him by adventurers passing through the Faubourg “a pint offered to the best story”!

Archibald is also a painter, and frequently exhibits behind the counter canvases depicting strange buildings and portraits of severe individuals in exotic costumes. Some evenings, when he has abused his “Lee Triple Special”, he mouths his bugle and sings in a stentorian voice songs in a language that no one understands, while waving a standard as old as him, made of stars and red bands, to which he holds as the apple of his eye!
