Deferential Council
The Deferential Council is a large-scale official building located in the Arts district, on The High Terrace of Laelith. Nestled in the heart of the Regent's Garden, this imposing square building is a true architectural Chief masterpiece. Its majestic facade is adorned with Doric columns, testifying to the grandeur and prestige of the organization it houses.
Inside, a flowered and tree-lined cloister offers a real haven of peace. It is a Chief masterpiece of the city's best gardeners, which changes face with the seasons, offering an ever-renewed spectacle. About twenty spacious rooms, places for commercial negotiations and confidential meetings, overlook this cloister.
The Deferential Council holds its meetings there, gathering the members of the Ten Families. They are received in audience several times a year by the God-King, to present their requests concerning the life of the city. These highly codified ceremonies are an opportunity for the members of the Council to show humility and deference towards their sovereign.
The palace is in operation day and night, its accesses are controlled by a private Militia. It is a place of power and decision, a symbol of the influence of the Ten Families on the life of the city.
