Drapers Guild
Nestled in the heart of The Terrace of the Hand That Crafts, in the bustling district of the Dyers, lies the Drapers Guild. It is an imposing building, with walls of grey stone, adorned with carved details that testify to the skill of the artisans of Laelith. The entrance is topped with a lintel where the guild's coat of arms is engraved: two crossed weaving shuttles on a background of golden cloth.
Inside, the atmosphere is animated by the noise of the looms and the bustle of the drapers busy at their work. Fabrics of all colors and textures are carefully arranged on shelves, ready to be sold or transformed into clothing, hangings, or rugs. The air is filled with the smell of dye and fresh fabric.
The Drapers Guild is a meeting place for textile artisans. This is where they come to exchange techniques, negotiate prices, or simply share a moment of conviviality after a long day's work. Despite the odorous nuisances of the district, the guild remains a place of prosperity and creativity, where the art of weaving is celebrated and respected.
The Drapers Guild is an emblem of the Dyers district, a symbol of the flourishing craftsmanship of The Hand That Crafts. It contributes to the economic vitality of Laelith, by providing quality fabrics to the city and beyond.
