High Citadel
The High Citadel, located in The High Terrace of Laelith, is a true architectural gem. Dominating the city from the heights, this official building is a symbol of power and prestige. Its strategic location, both isolated and protected, gives it an aura of mystery and respect.
The High Citadel is an imposing palace, whose silhouette majestically stands out against the sky. Its volcanic stone walls, adorned with mosaics and frescoes, tell the story of Laelith and its illustrious leaders. The towers of the citadel rise proudly, overlooking the city and offering a breathtaking view of Lake Altalith and the surrounding mountains.
The entrance to the High Citadel, located on the Great Yards, is guarded day and night by the Purple Guards, the city's elite guard. The massive doors, reinforced with steel plates and covered with protective runes, are a challenge for anyone who would dare to confront them. Once crossed, one discovers a paved inner courtyard, lined with lush gardens and Fountains of clear water.
Inside, the High Citadel is a labyrinth of rooms, corridors, and galleries. The vaulted ceilings, sculpted columns, and marble floors testify to the wealth and refinement of its occupants. The palace also houses the guild seats of Laelith, as well as the High Guild, which controls the city's commercial activities.
The High Citadel is a place of power and decision, where court intrigues are played out and where the decisions that shape the destiny of Laelith are made. It is a place both feared and admired, a symbol of the city's ambition and grandeur.
