Mages Gate
The Mages Gate is an imposing structure located on the Footwork Plaza, in the prestigious district of The High Terrace in Laelith. It is one of the most controlled entrances to the city, as it provides direct access to The High Terrace, the district of the God-King Palace.
This monumental gate is carved from immaculate white marble, adorned with delicate frescoes depicting mages in various dance postures, in tribute to the plaza on which it stands. The details are so fine and precise that one could believe the dancers are about to come to life. On either side of the gate, two statues of mages in ceremonial robes hold scepters topped with luminous crystals that illuminate the gate at night.
The Mages Gate is guarded day and night by soldiers in sparkling armor and mages with piercing eyes, ready to detect the slightest sign of malice. Access to the gate is strictly reserved for nobles, cleric-courtiers, students, and those who have received special authorization.
Passing through the Mages Gate is a privilege, a sign of high social status and respectability. It is a symbol of the grandeur and majesty of Laelith, a promise of the opulence and splendor that await inside The High Terrace.
