Moorfaki Bank
The Moorfaki Bank is a landmark building of The High Terrace, located in the luxurious district of The Elith, on the Heroes Square. This vast Cube of granite stands out for its austerity amidst the colorful palaces of the Terrace. Its sober and imposing facade, devoid of the typical architectural extravagance of the district, testifies to the seriousness and rigor of the establishment.
Inside, a large hall welcomes customers. The furniture, arranged in a functional manner, allows all kinds of transactions to be carried out. The clerks of Moorfaki, dressed in brown velvet tunics, are constantly busy, exchanging jewels for gold, certifying bills of exchange or swapping well-stuffed purses for rolls of parchment.
The Moorfaki Bank is run by the master Moorfaki, a round and affable man, whose single eye sparkles with Malice and intelligence. He is one of the most important characters of The High Terrace, known for his knowledge of the financial secrets of the nobles and his ability to solve problems to his advantage.
The Moorfaki Bank is also famous for its secret cellars, where master Moorfaki keeps the body of his deceased wife, preserved from decomposition by priests of the Temple of the Mole. This secret, known to few, adds a touch of mystery to this renowned financial institution.
In short, the Moorfaki Bank is a place of power and wealth, a symbol of The Prosperity of Laelith and a major player in the city's economic life.
