Moorfaki Bank
The Moorfaki Bank is an institution on the High Terrace, where it's located on Heroes Square in the luxurious district of The Elith. This vast granite cube stands out for its austerity amidst the ornate palaces of the terrace. Its sober and imposing facade, devoid of the typical architectural extravagance of the district, reflects the seriousness and rigor of the establishment.
Inside, a vast hall welcomes clients. The furniture, arranged functionally, allows for all kinds of transactions. The clerks of Moorfaki, dressed in brown velvet tunics, are constantly busy, exchanging jewelry for gold, certifying bills of exchange, or trading well-filled purses for rolls of parchment.
The Moorfaki Bank is managed by Master Moorfaki, a round and affable man, whose single eye sparkles with malice and intelligence. Known for his knowledge of the financial secrets of the nobles (and his ability to solve problems to his advantage), he is one of the most important figures of the High Terrace,.
The Moorfaki Bank is also famous for its secret vaults, where Master Moorfaki keeps the body of his deceased wife, preserved from decomposition thanks to priests of the Temple of the Mole. This secret, as well guarded as the combination of the main safe, adds a touch of mystery to its renowned financial status.
In short, the Moorfaki Bank is a place of power and wealth, a symbol of the unmatched grandeur and wealth of Laelith and a major player in the economic life of the holy city.
