This strange neighborhood wedged between the Elith and the Proper Abundance is a sort of purgatory. It quickly becomes apparent to the passing visitor that the mansions are less well maintained, not always well lit, and sometimes half empty. This is where the nobles live, whose families are experiencing reversals of fortune, or who are enduring a disgrace that drags on. It is far from the contemptuous ostentation of the Elith, the evident prosperity of the Proper Abundance, or the chic hustle and bustle of the Arts district. The inhabitants have hollowed features and their clothes, although well cut, are often worn out. Some are filled with a fatalistic bitterness. Others still hope for a turn of fate to regain glory and fortune. With the exception of Murky Town, it's the best place to find potential employers or missions requiring cold-blood and few scruples.
