The Last Lookout

In the neighborhood of The Cavalry, on The Lakeshoe, there is a building that leaves no one indifferent: The Last Lookout. It is a place of public entertainment, but also a den of illicit trafficking.

The Last Lookout is a gambling den where sailors on shore leave, merchants from afar, and the poorest inhabitants of Laelith mingle. The atmosphere is always lively, between the hearty laughter, the outbursts of voices, and the sound of coins clashing on the gaming tables. The rough stone walls, lit by flickering lanterns, conceal an atmosphere that is both warm and dangerous.

The building is known for its gambling, cockfights, and dubious transactions. Everything that the law forbids is bought and sold there. Regulars know that they must be discreet so as not to attract the attention of the authorities.

Behind the counter, the landlord, a former sailor with a piercing gaze, keeps a close eye on things. He serves strong drinks and simple but hearty meals, while keeping an eye on the transactions taking place in his establishment.

The Last Lookout is a place of life, exchanges, and debauchery, where one can lose everything or win everything in one night. It is an emblematic place of The Lakeshoe, perfectly reflecting the spirit of this Terrace: poor, dirty, but incredibly lively and open to the world.
