| The harbor district - known as the Lakeshoe, a portemanteau of Lakeshore and Shoe for one certainly won't keep their feet clean for long while walking in this neighborhood - is undoubtedly the poorest, most infamous terrace of Laelith. | The inhabitants of the other terraces often look down on the Lakeshoe, saying that it is the most infamous, that everything there is poor, dirty and stinking. All of this is true, no one can say otherwise... But it is also the one that feeds, it is the belly of Laelith, it is the one that is open to the world, welcoming and mixing all influences, cultures, ideas. On the Lakeshoe blows a wind of openness from the sea. |

| Living in the underbelly of the city has its advantages though: from nightly bets on the pontoons of Maucastel to games of love in the House of a thousand flowers, all sorts of entertainment can be had... for a price. | There is everything that connects the city to the rest of the world: the ports, the Caravans Roadway, the military buildings, the one-eyed tavinns, the Fish Market, a few members of the Utruz people, the sailors on a spree, the discounted prostitutes... It is, it can never be said enough, the poorest and dirtiest part of the Holy City. But it is also the largest and most varied, with the temples of the Silver Fish and the Skull, a luxurious Altalith Marina and one of the oldest institutions in the city: The Thousand Flowers. |
