Ochre Guardhouse
The Ochre Guardhouse, located on Pillory Square, in the district of the Market of The Prosperity Terrace, is an imposing and robust building. It stands as a bastion of security amidst the commercial bustle of the square. Its ochre facade, from which it gets its name, stands out amidst the colorful stalls and buildings of varied hues.
The ground floor of the post is a reception and tax collection area, where residents come to fulfill their tax obligations. A kitchen allows the guards to prepare their meals, while a guard room provides a rest area between patrols.
The post also houses several cells for prisoners, whether harmless or dangerous. An Armory supplies the guards with equipment and an office allows the collectors to organize their rounds.
The upper floor of the post is dedicated to the training and care of the guards. A weapons room allows for combat practice, while an infirmary welcomes the wounded. A “luxury” jail is reserved for high-profile prisoners, and the office of the Rahel, the Chief of the post, is the nerve center of the organization.
The post is also equipped with a modern alarm system, with a Semaphore and a balloon release, to signal any emergency. The Ochre Guardhouse is thus an essential place for maintaining order and security in the Market district.
