Topaz Guardhouse
The Topaz Guardhouse is an iconic military building located in the Puppet district, on Prosperity terrace, in the holy city of Laelith. This sturdy and imposing building is one of the main bulwarks of the city, ensuring safety and order within this bustling neighborhood.
The ground floor of the post is dominated by a large reception room, where an Ogul and two guards are constantly present to meet the needs of the residents. This is where the public can enter, but access to other rooms is limited. Next to it is the Duty room, where taxes are collected and where interrogations take place in the absence of the collector. The kitchen, where the guards prepare their meals, completes this level.
In the rampart of the tower, there is the guard room, where the men rest and take their meals between two patrols. It is also the mandatory conduit to reach other parts of the structure, including the defense reserves, the armory, and the infirmary.
On the first floor, there is a “luxury” jail for high-profile prisoners, as well as the office of the Rahel, the Chief of the post. The second floor houses the Hutch, a large jail for harmless prisoners, and two individual cells for dangerous captives.
The Topaz Guardhouse is an essential place for maintaining order and security in Laelith. Its robust architecture and strategic position make it an unmistakable landmark for the city's residents and visitors.
