Great Moat
The Great Moat is an imposing and sinister structure located in The Terrace of the Punishment, near the Temple of the Elders. Wrapped in an aura of mystery and danger, it lies at the heart of the Bogomolet Catacombs, a labyrinthine network of tunnels and underground chambers that extend beneath the city of Laelith.
The Great Moat is a deep and wide ditch, dug into the rock and filled with dark, stagnant water. Its steep and slippery walls make access difficult and dangerous. Makeshift bridges, made of rotten planks and worn ropes, allow crossing the ditch, but they are often unstable and risky to use.
The Great Moat is a place of fear and respect for the inhabitants of the Punishment. Some say it was dug to protect the Temple of the Elders, while others believe it is a divine punishment for the sins committed by the inhabitants of the Terrace.
The Great Moat is a place of mystery and danger, a constant reminder of the power and anger of the gods. It's a place where the past and present meet, where legends and superstitions come to life.
