Stele of Remembrance

At the entrance of The Reconquest district, in The Terrace of the Punishment, stands proudly the Stele of Remembrance. This imposing structure, erected by the Holy God-King Nin I, is a symbol of resilience and renewal amidst the surrounding chaos.

The monument, carved from the Hallowed Stone of the four temples, is a true architectural feat. It consists of a massive base on which rests a vertical column adorned with bas-reliefs depicting scenes of everyday life in Laelith before the curse of the Punishment. At the top, a statue of Nin I, arms stretched towards the sky, seems to defy the dark forces that haunt the Terrace.

The Stele of Remembrance is more than just a stone piece, it's a place of reflection and memory. The inhabitants of The Reconquest come to leave offerings, flowers or messages of hope, in tribute to those who lost their lives in The Punishment.

Despite the constant threat of the Beast, the monument remains a bastion of light within the cursed Terrace. Its existence is a constant reminder of the indomitable will of the God-King and his people to reclaim their city, despite the dangers and trials. It is a symbol of hope and resistance, a beacon in the night for all those who dare to brave the winding alleys of the Punishment.
