The Astoria

In the heart of the Reconquest district, on the cursed Terrace of the Punishment, stands proudly The Astoria. This building is a symbol of Nin I's will to rehabilitate this once neglected area and the luxurious project of its promoter, the controversial Sancillo Korazy.

A large part of The Astoria is still under construction. The building will be a two-story residence, built with stones sanctified by the four temples, which seem to have tamed the madness of the Terrace. The façade, of an immaculate white, will strongly contrast with the dark and chaotic walls of the Punishment. Delicate sculptures will adorn the window sills and the door lintel, adding a touch of elegance to this robust construction.

Some residents have already moved into the completed parts of the building. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and bathed in light, thanks to the large windows that offer a breathtaking view of the transforming neighborhood. A spiral staircase, carved from the noblest wood, leads to the upstairs bedrooms.

The Astoria is more than just a residence; it is a symbol of hope and renewal for the inhabitants of the Punishment. It is proof that even in the darkest and most chaotic places, it is possible to find beauty and serenity. But, like the rest of the Reconquest district, The Astoria is constantly evolving, and only time will tell if it will withstand the Beast that slumbers in the bowels of the Punishment. Moreover, if you look closely, the building is full of religious signs of all kinds. The trellis on the façade, meant to host climbing ivy, discreetly reproduces the patterns of the protective pentacle of Zoriman the Dazzling, the great vanquisher of darkness. The honeycombed newel balls of the stone stairs are radiant globes of Tagor the Just, and each resident adds their own touch, hanging sacred talismans bought from the four temples on their balcony. For while it would be blasphemous to doubt the security promises of the God-King, nothing forbids settling under the best auspices.
