Vorn's Cliff
This immense escarpment over 1400 m high is the eastern part of the Great Fault geological border that edges all of the west of Laelith.
The narrow and steep mountain path that winds there has at its ends, on one side a rich Dwarven Colony at the bottom of the gorge, and on the other, at the very top of the wall, the Camp of the Long Forbearance which leads to the Gate of the Delightful Ecstasy and therefore to the essential Lazaret.
More so than the Long Roundabout Road or arrival by the lake, this precipice is the preferred access through which the majority of the two thousand travelers who enter or leave The Holy City transit day after day. But to traverse these endless switchbacks, it will take you, both uphill and downhill, at least six to seven hours of an exhausting and dangerous journey that makes restorative stops indispensable, provided at the many supply, rest or care points that dot the route. They are also as many discreet guard posts, complementing the surveillance provided by the very mysterious and ambiguous White Brotherhood.
