Camp of the Long Forbearance

The Camp of the Long Forbearance, also known as Camp Uhain Highseer, is a temporary shelter for newcomers to Laelith. Located at the top of Vorn's Cliff, it offers a breathtaking view of the cosmopolitan city. The camp is marked by two majestic statues of winged lions guarding the entrance, symbolizing protection and welcome.

The camp is a vast field of tents and precarious huts, assembled from wood and fabric, reflecting the diversity of the people who stay there. Despite the chaotic appearance and the presence of debris, the camp is regularly cleaned under the supervision of the Sévère Prévôt and his assessors.

The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Around the campfires, people of all backgrounds gather to share news, food, and songs. It's a taste of the cosmopolitan life that awaits newcomers to Laelith.

Near the camp, the suburb of the unwelcome houses those who have been turned away from the Holy City. This neighborhood, halfway between a slum and a village, is the living place of half-orcs who lead a harsh existence.

The Camp of the Long Forbearance is a place of transition, a purgatory where travelers await their entry into The Holy City. It is a place of patience, hope, and first encounters.
