About Wiki urls and aliases
Namespace and Page id in DokuWiki
The Laelith Wiki is based on the nice and flexible DokuWiki engine.
Example of a page url:
https://wiki.laelith.com/en/laelith/hand-that-crafts/the-remembrance-workshops/killhem-tree
en/laelith/hand-that-crafts/the-remembrance-workshopsis called the “Namespace” in DokuWiki lingo.killhem-treeis called the “page name”- The combination of the two is the “page id”:
en/laelith/hand-that-crafts/the-remembrance-workshops/killhem-tree - The page path without the language prefix is the “wiki id”:
laelith/hand-that-crafts/the-remembrance-workshops/killhem-tree
DokuWiki can also write a Namespace or a page id using colons, like this:
en:laelith:hand-that-crafts:the-remembrance-workshops:killhem-tree
This is what you can read in the upper-right corner of a page.
Actually, the following url works, but is not recommended for obvious SEO reasons:
https://wiki.laelith.com/en:laelith:hand-that-crafts:the-remembrance-workshops:killhem-tree
Building the Wiki id of a Cadastre Element
Each Cadastre Element is assigned a unique wiki id, made of:
- The parents, as long as each one has an Ontology equal to
Location > Area - The element
For each, the alias is used when it exists, otherwise the numerical cadastre id is used.
Examples:
laelith/hand-that-crafts/the-remembrance-workshops/killhem-treelaelith/prosperitylaelith/mist/bath-oh/40.2.1.0outskirts/84.1laelith/lakeshoe/port-royal/244.9.3.0/4.244.9.3.0
The wiki id is stored in the “wiki” field of a Cadastre Element.
About the alias of a Cadastre Element
An alias is a unique lower-case short English string that can be used in place of the numerical Cadastre Element id. It is used for iconic places, as well as terraces and neighborhoods. This allows us to build nice-looking urls in the Wiki or in the Map. The alias can also be used with several of the API end-points, like GET /cadastre/{alias}
