The Bird

The district of the Temple of the Firebird – many of whose inhabitants are religious servants of the Temple – is of course the religious heart of the Terrace. This does not mean that all the inhabitants are followers of a Fire cult, but it must be acknowledged that the impressive architecture of the building deeply marks the memories of pilgrims, even from another Element.

The decoration of the Grand Choir is of dazzling magnificence, but the spectacle that attracts the most visitors is the weekly sermon of the High Priest, pronounced from the Head of the Bird. Indeed, his final invocation is underscored by a powerful fiery surge from the depths of the Eternal Brazier, whose visual effect is always very appreciated by the spectators, especially since the ceremony generally takes place at dusk.

Superstitions abound about the possible prayers and offerings at this time – but the one that claims throwing your mother-in-law's portrait into the fire will get rid of her is false, this has been proven many times. On the other hand, it is certain that, as around other temples, merchants dealing in objects related to the various religions of the Fire are very numerous in the district.
