The Cat on a Hot Bakestone
“The Cat on a Hot Bakestone” is a picturesque building located in the Market district, on The Prosperity Terrace, in the heart of the city of Laelith. This business is run by Lady Ashra, a woman of the Wind People, always accompanied by her tamed monkey, Archibald. The facade of the building, painted sky blue, contrasts with the dirty white and ochre of the other buildings in the city. A wooden sign, painted by The Hand, depicts a cat perched on a roof, hence the name of the business.
The interior of the building is warm and welcoming. Cages of different sizes, containing animals of all kinds, are arranged all over the place. There are cats, dogs, birds, and even more exotic creatures. The noise of the animals mixes with the laughter of Ashra and the antics of Archibald, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere.
“The Cat on a Hot Bakestone” offers a unique service: the search for lost pets. Lady Ashra, thanks to her gift for communicating with animals, manages to find the missing companions of her clients. She offers a preferential rate to children, which makes “The Perched Cat” a very popular place for families in Laelith.
