It's not just people who get lost in the Punishment. Time also loses its way here. A day, a century, everything converges and if you believe the locals, there are even certain corners that death forgets, all busy as it is circling around in the Bad Weathertime neighborhood like a disoriented bear in a cage of dimensions that elude it.

The weather here is also more than capricious, a deluge can turn a Ladder into a torrent when everything dries up and bakes under a sick sun just one street away. There's even talk of an alley where rain seeps from the stones to rise towards the sky… But nothing surprises anymore in the Punishment.
