If you listen to the welcoming drunks who haunt the counter of the Tavinn of “Twenty Years is Enough”, eight cursed alleys articulate around the Chancre-Day Square, like the tentacles of an octopus: Gloomy Pathway, The Slouched, the traboules and the corners that connect them, a whole labyrinth of alleys with their superstitions and adages, a maze where darkness reigns, devouring the flames of the lanterns and where it is not good to linger at night if you do not want to end up being the toy of the formidable blind gangs. Unless you find refuge in the middle of the Circus of Misfortune and its amputated clowns, all the way to the end of the Toads Ladder. But you still have to hope that you have enough talent for them to adopt you in your entirety…
