The Horse Pie
Located in the heart of the Penitents district, in The Lakeshoe Terrace, there is a building with a reputation as colorful as its sign: “The Horse Pie”. Nestled in the picturesque Who-Can-Do Ladder, this inn is a must-visit dining spot for locals and passing travelers.
The exterior of the building, although modest, exudes a certain warmth. The weather-worn wooden facade is adorned with a sign painted by The Hand, depicting a piebald horse. The lit windows emit a warm glow that invites you in.
Inside, the atmosphere is friendly and lively. The solid wood tables, worn by years of service, are often occupied by sailors telling their adventures, pilgrims seeking a hot meal after a long day, or locals from the neighborhood who come for the good food and company.
The cuisine at “The Horse Pie” is simple but tasty, with generous dishes prepared from local produce. The menu changes regularly, depending on the arrivals at the port and the seasons.
Despite its location in one of the poorest districts of Laelith, “The Horse Pie” is a gathering place where social differences fade away over a meal. It's a place where people come for the food, but stay for the atmosphere and the stories that are told there.
